    Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

I've been spelling it that way for a few months now. Just a little quirk of mine.

    Issachar, has reasons ...
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

        Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

I normally don't do this ... but I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on the quote I placed in post #29? This Senator was expressing a lot of concern over how the UN, using our own money, through our own government; in particular, the State Dept., is pressing programs/training into the education system that war against the Constitution. It was in 1952. This is why I often mention that the decline that we are seeing these days in the nation as a whole, started a long time ago; long before 1952 even. So these kids in the 50's grow up, have kids that learn even more junk who grow up and have kids that learn even more ... It does not take very much time for things that are foreign to the U.S. Constitution, to seem "normal". Sometimes when the fruit of this patient tactic of the enemy starts to ripen, people think that is the start of a problem. That fruit has been developing by leaps and bounds though before it becomes apparent that it's there.

          Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

I have a book I bought shortly after having been born again in the winter of my 22nd year (1974). It is "Evolution and Christian Faith" by Bolton Davidheiser. It is more of a philosophical view of the issues concerning evolution and Christianity than a nuts 'n bolts (how/why the Genesis account is backed by scientific finds) view. In it, he covers the belief's and philosophies of many men in both ancient history (e.g. Aristotle; Augustine) through more recent history (e.g. Dewey; Chardin) and their (significant) influence on the modern world; in particular, the U.S.

"Cumulative evidence supports the conclusion, that, in the United States as in other countries, the age of individualism and laissez faire (small, non-interfering government) in economy and government is closing and that a new age of collectivism is emerging." [Please note: Unions use "collective" bargaining. bf]
"As to the specific form which this 'collectivism,' this integration and interdependence, is taking and will take in the future, the evidence at hand is by no means clear or unequivocal...

Almost certainly it will involve a larger measure of compulsory as well as voluntary cooperation of citizens in the conduct of the complex national economy, a corresponding enlargement of the functions of government, and an increasing state intervention in fundamental branches of economy previously left to the individual discretion and initiative - a state intervention that in some instances may be direct and mandatory and in others indirect and facilitative. In any event the Commission is convinced by its interpretation of available empirical data that the actually integrating economy of the present day is the forerunner of a consciously integrated society in which individual economic actions and individual property rights will be altered and abridged."

British socialist leader and economics professor Harold J. Laski (one of whose "special" pupils was John F. Kennedy) said of the Commission's report:

"At bottom, and stripped of its carefully neutral phrases, the report is an educational program for a Socialist America."

John Dewey provided the rationale. His disciples supplied the techniques and the textbooks. Financiers of the Invisible Government put up the money. And the program to convert America into a socialist nation by corrupting public education was formally begun in the mid 1930's.
The above quote is from both the above mentioned book and this site. The whole linked site is a valuable read for anyone desiring to understand why the Untied States is going the way it is going. Of course, there are many spiritual aspects too intertwined with all this.

Issachar, attempting to point out that today's battles started a very long time ago ...

heh-heh ... just turned on the radio to see what Mr. Beck is up to today. Me thinks he stumbled across some books from the '50's and '60's. He is bringing the info into the context of today's names of politicians.

                Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

                Issachar,
I have not done any research..let alone have the knowledge you have accrued by doing such research, but I have just recently noticed the happenings of the past being deeply tied to the present.

I remembered the Iranian hostage event as being the beginning of ABC's Nightline, the late night news program. As you probably recall it began each program with the numbering of the days our hostages had been held by the Iranians. Didn't that begin under the Carter admin? Then, after they were released, there was posed the question, should the program continue. As we now know, it continued.
Forward to today..it is ABC that has continually and consistently covered every one of the current administrations public statements.

As Solomon said, there is nothing new under the sun. It's just the continuation of same old, same old.

I live in NC and I remember when the local newspaper made a huge booboo by saying that Jesse Helms was going to lose by a landslide because he was ..too good ole' boy.
That same election it was evident the newspaper was trying to influence the voting public from their paper pulpit. I canceled my subscription, telling them I would not read their 'liberal rag' again (had no idea how much the word 'liberal' was going to influence the future of our country) and I have never taken the paper again.

It was the beginning of my eyes being opened to politics.
What can I say I was young?

                  Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

Ooooookkkk .... a strongly stated clue today on the Glenn Beck show. Joe Pags in today for Glenn. I heard the last 7 or 8 minutes of the show. Closing comment? "How can it be a conspiracy if it turned out to be true?" THAT is very telling. So at least in Joe's mind if something is true, it cannot be a conspiracy. Rush always makes disparaging remarks about anyone that believes in any sort of a conspiracy. Glenn seems to believe in conspiracies but won't use the term. Who listens to these guys? Conservatives and conservative Christians. It's no wonder it is so hard to point out very well documented speeches, books, etc. by world leaders who openly talk about conspiracies. Of course, throw in all the self appointed "experts" that do little or no research of their own and spread wild stories that are easily disproved, and you have a situation where much valuable information is discounted without a hearing.

                  Thanks Joe.

                  2 Samuel 15:
                  12
And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

                  2 Kings 12:
                  20
And his servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla.

                  Jeremiah 11:
                  9
And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

                  Acts 23:
                  13
And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.

                  There is more.

Imvho, it is silly to think that men, throughout history, have not made plots to accomplish a goal. This plotting IS conspiracy. That's all.

Perhaps Joe Pags does not think that a political party has never plotted ways to pull down someone from an opposing political party? Perhaps Rush believes that the Bolshevik Revolution that gave the world communism, somehow just happened? Everyone involved woke up one day and just decided to band together and kill the czar and his family and his supporters? Perhaps they all had the same dream the night before? The men on Jekyll Island in 1910 that drafted what became the Federal Reserve Act went there in great secrecy just to avoid admirers? Those men that passed it in 1913 through the House and the Senate didn't really have to hang back until all those opposed went home for a Christmas break? It would have passed anyway?

All the well known, very outspoken world leaders that speak of one world order are just playing games? Congressmen that fought valiantly against such schemes were just blowing smoke? Those are just lies in the Congressional Record? Strobe Talbot, Kissinger, President Wilson ... many I've quoted and many, many more I've not quoted, were just making up the stuff they said even while in the State Dept., etc.? Kind of makes at least me, wonder why these radio guys say this stuff.

I believe bible prophecy points to a one world order and a one world religion someday. I don't believe that they will come about because "it just happened; no one was even thinking about it." I do not believe the "free" markets are without manipulation.

Issachar, thinks it worth some effort to sort out the hokey from the real and not throw out the baby with the bath water.

                    Re: Fundamentally Transforming America

I don't know where to put this article..., it basically goes with how Obama is fundamentally changing our nation with all the czars he has chosen to "advise" him. I didn't want to start a thread because how would I title the thread when it is a disgusting thing? We need to pray for the safety of our children in schools. It would be nice if we could all just pull them out and home school them, but unfortunately, many people cannot do this. Pray for those children and the Christian teachers, helpers, who can have an positive impact on our children.

We sure are seeing the darkness of this spiritual warfare heating up.

Anyway, here is the title of the article which was on World Net Daily,

                    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=111347

Safe schools' chief encouraged child sex with older man

Kevin Jennings, the radical homosexual activist who founded one of the biggest organizations in the nation to promote "gay" activities in public schools, needs to "come clean," according to the Washington Times.
"A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an 'older man.' At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama's 'safe school czar.' ... Clearly, the process for vetting White House employees has broken down," the Times editorial board said.

Kevin Jennings behavior is beyond the pale. I am sickened by this. I am sickened that my tax dollars will be paying for this pervert to hold an advisory position to the president of this nation. If this had been a Republican appointee, I assure you that this would have been front page news and the lead story on every news cast. God help this nation.

"The term “Internationalism” has been popularized in recent years to cover an interlocking financial, political, and economic world force for the purpose of establishing a World Government. Today Internationalism is heralded from pulpit and platform as a “League of Nations” or a “Federated Union” to which the United States must surrender a definite part of its National Sovereignty. The World Government plan is being advocated under such alluring names as the “New International Order,” “The New World Order,” “World Union Now,” “World Commonwealth of Nations,” “World Community,” etc. All the terms have the same objective; however, the line of approach may be religious or political according to the taste or training of the individual."

Personally I see it more as a mental thing. "Czars" have no more power then past "Department Heads" but it gives the sense of being "in control" most people want to hear.

What makes your quote so interesting is the fact it links the religious system into the political system.
The ACLU was fighting for years for the separation of religion and state. We thought the older mainline religions were also for this and yet they have been playing their role all along.
