My family mostly lives in central Maine. Last week I talked with one of my aunts there. She is in her 80's. It was mid day cold, rainey, and she was sitting next to her stove wearing coat and long johns trying to stay warm. She said that they had had so much rain that her garden was such a soggy, muddy mess that even the deer couldn't find anything to eat there. The bugs were doing well, however.... the " no see ums" were ready to pounce on anyone going outside and swarm in for lunch......another example of global warming..... its suppossed to be in the 80's or 90's in central Maine by mid July.
