The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

Obama: I Am A Champion For Gay Americans

President Obama, who has come under harsh criticism from gay rights advocates for not yet acting on many campaign promises on gay issues, Monday afternoon said that his administration has made some progress on behalf of gay Americans and plans to do more.

"I know that many in this room don't believe that progress has come fast enough, and I understand that," Mr. Obama said at a reception for LGBT Pride Month at the White House. "It's not for me to tell you to be patient anymore than it was for others to counsel patience to African-Americans who were petitioning for equal rights a half-century ago."

"But I say this: We have made progress," the president continued. "And we will make more. And I want you to know that I expect and hope to be judged not by words, not by promises I've made, but by the promises that my administration keeps."

"We've been in office six months now," he said. "I suspect that by the time this administration is over, I think you guys will have pretty good feelings about the Obama administration."

Joe Biden was at a similar fundraiser a week ago when he called Kaine "the great governor of New Jersey". Kaine is the governor of Virginia.

Joe Biden Gaffe update: He fires N.J. gov, moves another guy in

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/wash...fe-update.html

Washington. Mandarin Oriental Hotel. LGBT fundraiser. Hauled in about $1 mill. 33% better than last year with Michelle Obama.

Biden also praised Tim Kaine as the "great governor of New Jersey."
One problem: Tim Kaine's not governor of New Jersey.

Tim Kaine is governor of another state, called Virginia.

    -----------------

Who is Kaine? Kaine is the guy who claims the Russians halted their attack on Georgia last year because of the words of Obama. No joke. Yeah, sure they did Tim. What color is the sky in your world?

Just as I said in an earlier post, all last year I heard many of my fellow
American citizens screaming "we need change" well they are getting it.
I have to wonder how many even listened to what he was saying or
got caught up in how he was saying it. I bet our parents and grand parents
would have never believed that the US would be having a LGBT pride month.

I don't see it that way. I see it as - this is who and what he has been since day 1 and SO many of us tried to warn everyone around us ... to no avail. What we're seeing is him moving in record time to form the nation to his standards - or lack thereof. NOTHING he does should surprise those of us that knew what manner of man he was/is.

Remember what the definition of disappointment is. I have NO expectations of this man except more and more evil...therefore it's unlike I'll ever be disappointed at him.

(BTW, Shelby, this was not directed at you specifically even though I was responding to your post!)

As Christians we are suppose to be spreading cause of the one and only
true champion Jesus Christ. Does it seem that Christians may be on
a collision course with President Obama?
