  • New supreme Court Justice

Sonia Sotomayor. We just knew it had to be one of the most liberal people out there.

Issachar, reserving "Supreme" for reference to God
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken - dylan

Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

She thinks that the courts make laws.

Not surprised. I guess we need to seriously start praying that God stop this appointment.

I edited and changed the title to "Supreme" figuring it was a typo - then I read your statement about reserving "Supreme" for the One and ONLY "Supreme".

        Good one, Issachar.

We should not be suprised, we knew his pick would be a liberal who
wants to legislate from the bench.

She is considered a moderate (by liberals) and was first appointed by Bush Sr.! However, I think the key is, which a commentator on CNBC claimed, is that she believes in international law, which of course supersedes our constitution!

So if I become a "citizen of the world", does that mean I have to obey her rulings?
I mean, I'm of the world, so I don't claim to belong to the US....
Therefore, the US laws are just a suggestion to me, not a command.
Or does it not work this way?

                Gregstien,

I don't think you are going to fit in with the NWO!

And this is just the first appointee. We all know there are some really elderly folks on the bench - we could easily see a complete shift of that court to total liberalism/secularism/rewriting the intent of the Constitution, Marxism, Communism, etc (the list goes on and on) ending with a complete collapse of our entire nation and way of life.

I shake my head in disbelief at the number of so-called Christians that voted (and continue to stand) for this man. I know I'm only restating what we've discussed dozens of times but this just really baffles me.

Me too, I was and continued to be amazed at some of the ones who
have and are supporting him. You are right, with the age of several
on the bench he may get to appoint 2-3 more judges this term and
if he is re-elected then you can probably add 2-3 more....imagine
8 years from now we may have a Court with 5-6 Obama appointees.

Not to rehash the election, but we all know that he could not have won had it not been for Christians voting for him. Ruth Bader Ginsburg will either resign or die from cancer. That's another spot to fill. Spooky times we are living in. Sometimes I feel like I am just so out of sync with what most of the world is up to--Hey, I guess that's a good thing!

Human beings are either in sync with God through Jesus Christ or "the world". You're in a good place GH.

Too late. The nation elected the most liberal senator of 2007.

Most liberal senator 2007. Yes, it bears repeating. We'll be lucky if O doesn't successfully appoint every liberal he can everywhere.

had it not been for (liberal, social "gospel") Christians voting for him
                          There. Amended that.

We can hope/pray he doesn't have that opportunity in the next 2 years AND that American's get their eyes open in that 2 years and vote in a Republican majority Senate...AND that the guys/gals elected in are not only Republican but also conservative......

Somehow I'm doubting all that will happen.
