Re: Is this in the Bible?
Exodus 12 tells us they celebrated passover on the 14th day of the first month and then left Egypt.
In Exodus 14 the Egyptians drowned.
Exodus 16:1 says, "And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt."
They had already crossed the Red Sea within a month.

A look at the map shows that the Jews traveled about 200 miles from Goshen in Egypt to the point on the Gulf of Aquba where they crossed the "red sea"
to get to Mt Sinai in Midian on the west coast of Saudi Arabia....
So it depends upon how long it would have taken 1,000,000 people to travel 200 miles across the wilderness........ it was not a desert but a wilderness back then...... lots of trees....

If it is, then I must have overlooked it.
