When the time came for Isaac to bestow his blessing on his sons, Jacob and his mother contrived to deceive Isaac into blessing Jacob in Esau’s place. When Esau found that his blessing had been given to Jacob, he threatened to kill his brother, and Jacob fled (Genesis 27:1 - 28:7). Years later, Jacob and Esau met and were reconciled (Genesis 33).

Yes Andy, interesting indeed in that Jacob was later renamed "Israel" by Jehovah while Esau became the progenitor of the Edomites (modern day Jordanian Arabs). In the present day, we once again have Israel and the Edomites dwelling side by side but in disharmony. They need to be reconciled to each other and as was in the days of old when Israel (i.e. Jacob) made the first move to make peace with Esau, modern day Israel is bending over backwards to reach out to the Arabs for the sake of Mideast peace.
