(IsraelNN.com) The United Methodist Church has rejected a campaign to divest from companies connected with Israeli activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, but the group itself is far from warm toward the Jewish State, referring in a recent document to the founding of the State of Israel as "the original sin."

A background document distributed at the April 22 United Methodist Church General Conference in Texas also referred to Israeli actions as acts of "terror."
