The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

Abbas urges Arab, int'l forces to protect Palestinians from IDF
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday called on Arab and international forces in the Palestinian territories to protect his people against Israeli attacks.

Abbas has called in the past for international peacekeepers in the Gaza Strip, but his call Saturday at the Arab Summit in Damascus marked the first time he has urged Arab countries to send forces.

How long can it hold off? They are opening the door wide open.

urged Arab countries to send forces.
    Ohhhh.
Now where would a man who has always called for international forces get the idea of troops from the MU?
In terms of the OWO this would fit perfectly to their agenda. Just as they insisted on forces from the AU (African Union) dealing with Sudan, it would be a step forward to them, to have forces from the Mediterranean Union (Arabs) dealing with this situation. I doubt very highly Abbas would make a public statement like that one if he didn't have prior permission. My guess...we won't hear anyone complain or even question this statement. The world/elite are soooo blind!

The OWO must believe they are farther ahead then we realize.

Put this with Joel Rosenberg's commentary and a very clear picture maybe emerging.

Great find LITH! As you know from the Ezekiel 36 thread we have discussed the notion of "peacekeepers" in the West Bank as well as Gaza. Look for mounting pressure for an international deployment to make the transition into a new palestinian state as smooth as possible (ie also replace IDF forces that would leave the area) There is a big celebration coming to Jerusalem on May 8 commemorating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel. (Even George Bush is attending!) Look for a comprehensive plan to be announced by then....IMHO it might well reflect the activities of three senior US generals (two active 3 star and one retired 4 star officer) to stabilize the situation. Expect large and well armed "peacekeepers" from NATO and assorted Muslim countries to be involved..Turkey would be a good choice since it is both! Sounds like the first act of the Ezekiel 38 script.

            Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

If it is true, secret one on one talks are going on between Olmert and Assad to turn over the Golan they will also come in handy there.
            From Rosenberg's commentary

Some Torah scholars in Israeli I have spoken with say it may be prophetic, that just as Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, so too it may need to sign treaties with Syria and Lebanon as a pre-cursor to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39, which states that Israelis are "living securely in the land" before Russia and Iran form a coalition to destroy Israel and seize her wealth in "the last days."
Plus as HSB mentioned May 8th 60th anniversary is coming up and there are growing hints they are pushing for something to be signed as so many of the world leaders for the first time will all be there.

If everyone on the guest list shows up as they seem to be indicating, somehow it seems something prophetic almost has to happen.

Odd. The link to the article now doesn't say anything about what was originally quoted.
It is hard to find an article stating the above. Could be wrong and I just don't have enough tea in me. LOL
              Just odd.

                Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

This is VERY interesting! When LITH posted the link I checked it out on Saturday and read the same article about the international peacekeepers as well as Abbas' call for arab support. Now the title and some of the article has been editted. Note that if you check the responses from people there are references to the original contents. At the risk of becoming a bit paranoid, it seems the title and content were clearly changed to serve some other purpose/people. There may well be a TOTAL clampdown on ANY news about such a plan being developed for implementation. That is why I have been googling topics and checking obscure sites like ChinaNews or Turkey local press that often are not aware of or part of Blackouts. Sometimes you get some real nuggets of information.....interesting to say the least!!!

                  Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

Thank you HSB. I was starting to wonder if my brain was just having a major glitch.
I was doing a search trying to find any of the original articles I read, of which there were plenty yesterday, but couldn't find the same statements in any of them. They all had been adjusted to emphasis other statements.

                    Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

                    Then today we see...
                    Rice wins concessions from Israel
Israel and the Palestinians agreed Sunday to a series of "concrete steps" aimed at paving the way for a final peace agreement later this year, beginning with an Israeli pledge to remove some 50 roadblocks in the West Bank.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in the region for the second time this month trying to energize faltering talks, announced the measures, saying they "constitute a very good start to improving" the Palestinian economy, which has been crippled by Israeli restrictions.

My favorite disappearing quote from last week seems very relevant here.

Olmert to a combination Israeli/German cabinet
"Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't happening"

                        Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

                        Here is the beginning...

The Israelis also will give Palestinians more security responsibility in the town of Jenin with an eye toward looking at "other areas in turn." They also pledged to increase the number of travel and work permits for Palestinians and to support economic projects in Palestinian towns.

                          Re: Abbas Requests Peacekeepers

I checked the news. The Jpost article has changed. Abbas' request is not mentioned. Neither is Gadhafi's one state solution mentioned either. The article was on Google News but the cached article did not come up for some reason. Where did I get the quote? I copied it from the Jerusalem Post. You know I did not retype the thing. I found the article on mutiple sources Saturday morning but chose the Jerusalem Post for the source. They were not the only ones publishing this. I would agree there is a news blackout and that would suggest several things, one being a prelude to war.

                            LITH:
war?? how about a prelude to...."peace".....complete with a deal this spring and immediate implementation of peacekeepers in the west bank to implement it?

PS I just did a google search typing in abbas peacekeepers arab then restricted it to last 24 hours. There are still 148 hits with many different media referring to what the Jerusalem Post originally had, then changed. Interesting!!
