The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

First, I would like to say that the new 90 seconds between posts is, imho, ridiculous. Many posts, especially in Pray net, are one line. It doesn't take a minute and a half to read one line and then write two words as a response. IMHO, it is irritating and a waste of my time.

Second, I, for one, do not care for the new RSS Feed. I am fully capable of getting all the news I want from other sources. I like the posts that are done by the members because it was something someone from this group found interesting or informative and wanted to share. The RSS Feeds just push all the posts on to page 2 where half of the member posts never get seen. Anyone else out there feel this way?

Sorry, Mods, I love you and I know you do a great job, but in 8 years I have never complained. Just thought I would see how others felt about these two new items.

I agree. The posts from members get lost. I was wondering if there could be key words for the RSS feed. For example: if a headline mentioned Hamas, Hizbollah, Sanhedrin, then it would post here. I find myself coming to this site and then leaving after a couple of minutes. I used to read a lot of posts and get the majority of my world news from here. Not now and I've been coming here for almost 9 years.

I'm clueless about this. What is this about?

I'm glad you mentioned the RSS, GH. I've wanted to but thought I'd give it time....I have and don't care for it.

Just this day I was wondering if there was a way to make the RSS feeds be a separate forum or something like that. They do tend to be numerous and push members threads/posts down too far at times.

... didn't know about the 90 second thing.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

Perhaps a separate forum for the RSS feeds?

According to the Sticky thread, the RSS has been discontinued. I was not
aware of the 90 second posting rule.

I couldn't agree More, I am glad you brought this up as I was hesitant to do so.

do to the rss, people's posts get lost and unread or not even noticed. it's like rss is ruling wedge!! It takes away our input and time. Why even have it when there are WeNT reporters? Are they wasting their time? What is the purpose in having News reporters and rss feeds does it for us?

It's done, folks - RSS is gone.

Our only intent/hope was to stimulate discussion (something not allowed on WeNT). It didn't work so it's toast.
