The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • One-world Bank - same theme, different spin

This fellow certainly doesn't talk from a Christian viewpoint, but I read him every now and then, because he's entertaining. I thought this was worth noting -

In fact, I'd argue with the Fed taking (*pretty much anything) as loan security, and this morning's report that the "Bank of England may join securities buy-up plan" that what's going on at a global scale is one of the most important precursors to one-world government. A single universal bank. Seems to me that's what's coming, although by fits and starts.
    from today's entry at http://www.urbansurvival.com/week.htm

A lengthy read, but some may find it worth the time.

We know that this is coming, I guess it may be coming together faster
    than we had thought.

Hey PlumBob, would you be able to post more specifically where the article is or the name of it? Thanks if you can ...

Issachar, use the link I posted above.

Scroll down about 1/2 way, and watch for a headline in green called "Number Munching Monday."

This guy writes every day, and puts new material at the top, so yesterday's stuff drops down the page. I just looked and it's still there.

          Thanks PlumBob. I found it.
He mentions the JPM buyout of Bear Stearns @ $2/share. Pretty funny imo. Then they said to keep some ticked off share holders happy they offered ten bucks per? What a joke! eh.... how's 500% more? Now are you happy? LOL.

I just find it weird and kind of funny that these world/international bankers can just toss around massive amounts of money like that. Of course, paper is without much mass so it's easy to do and besides, most of the "money" is just one's and zero's on hard drives. Even easier to jerk around than paper is electrons and micron sized magnetic domains.

I guess I can hijack my own thread for a minute, huh?

I read today in a hospital trade magazine that some of the very largest non-profit hospital groups (for example, Catholic Healthcare West - owns 47 hospitals) are having a very hard time with their long-term debt financing.

They were in the habit of selling their debt financing (CHW, for instance, $2.2Billion) on the short-term market, at 3 - 4% interest rates, and churning that over every 4 or 5 weeks. The short-term ("auction rate") market has gone bone dry, and CHW is now paying 7 - 8%+ and happy to get $$ for that.

Wow ... I guess I didn't think about the fact that all this "credit crunch" dilema could actually have adverse effects on healtcare availability. It sure can though given what you just pointed out.
