In This months Popular Science the Nansolar co in San Jose Calif shows how to reduce the cost of solar cell power from todays $3 a watt to as little as 30 Cents a watt...... Their factory actually uses a printing press to Print solar cells onto endless rolls of Aluminum which can be used as the roofs of most any building or vehicle..... They don't even use expensive Silicon...... The least expensive source of electricity has been coal at $1 a watt...... The factory starts production early 2008.

They don't say if the cells produce more electricity during their life than it takes to make them. If they do no produce more electricity then they will not work as a source of power. They will kust be high tech batteries.Comment
