The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • An increase in spiritual attacks?

I am not a person who sees the devil behind every bush. Normally I am the last person to attribute things to the "spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places".

However, I am seeing an increasing number of "bad things" amongst my christian friends..depressions, sicknesses, sins, hurting marriages...even deaths.

And not just here...even on the Wedg prayer forum. For awhile it seemed like our worst prayer requests were some stomache aches or something....now....well, go read the prayer forum and see for yourself.

I am not saying these things haven't been happening in the past....it just seems like its occuring with greater frequency.

Our church's men's prayer group meets 45 minutes before the evening service on Sundays. The fellow in charge, a layman who really is a great prayer warrior, always mentions the number of unspoken prayer requests among the men that have been submitted - either ones we have or that others have given us.

Well, despite the numbers falling off in recent years, the average number of "unspokens" has increased by over 50% in the same amount of time. Actually, more like doubled when I think about it.

That, in itself, is a huge indication to me, as those unspokens can be the little things that don't seem as significant, like you say about the prayer board here years ago, but just as often those unspokens deal with things too complex or too private to be mentioned in public; or sometimes just too complex, involving those spiritual battles you mention. Just in the last year or two the numbers of gone from the upper 40s on average to the lower 60s, and that's with a couple of the faithful who used to come all the time since it ostarted (in 1972) having gone home to be with the Lord.

Good point. IMHO, these attacks will just intensify as we reach the time of the Rapture. The enemy knows his time is short and believers are a threat to him, so who better to attack. Certainly this means that we all need to be putting on the full armor of God on a daily basis.
