Re: Path to 9/11 Reminder
My wife and I watched this.
It was interesting to see how things played out, leading up to the attacks.
If some of the things in the movie were true, both administrations let us down. Are we better off now? I think so, but I can't say we are where we need to be yet. I mean, people are still sneaking on planes with things that can harm us. People are still sneaking in the country and forming cells.
I think we are more alert now, and if they start sharing info between the agencies, we will stop a lot of attempts.
I also enjoyed the president's speech last night.
He touched on this very thing.

I was surprised at the quality of the show, I liked it. Did you see that Ambassador Bodine scene! I did some checking on her, they nailed her "look alike" using Patricia (forget her last name, from Raymond).

The film was pretty good, I knew there was a lot of interagency
fighting but I did not know how much until I saw the agruments
between CIA-FBI, and then FBI-State Dept.

Re: Path to 9/11 Reminder
When I was in law enforcement, I saw this all too well, and all too frequently too! The FEDS wouldn't tell the county gov't anything, and even the task forces (made up of local, state, and federal officers) were reluctant to share info with their own people.
I could see where this "brickwall" effect would get us into trouble, but I couldn't have known the trouble it would bring us on 9/11.
