Is it biblical that there WILL be two states? Is this inevitable, in other words? If so, what about Jerusalem?

I believe Daniel 11:39 and Joel 3:1,2 quite well may refer to what is happening..re: dividing the land!!! In fact, imo this is exactly what IS happening!

What about Jerusalem..........I think it will continue be the cup and trembling and burdensome stone that Zechariah talks about until eventually the armies come upon it and Jesus returns to defend Jerusalem. Perhaps, a covenant is confirmed with a provision re: Jerusalem that will be broken!


Also, I could imagine it would somewhat irk Gd if Israel were to give up some of the land given back to them, when His word says it is their land............this is what could cause them to find themselves be in the time of Jacob's trouble.
